Can a magnetic field affect the rate in which water cools?
Suppose you have two sealed containers of pure water, both at 80 degrees Celsius.
You place one container in a 20 T magnetic field and leave the other one alone. Would they cool at the same rate?
Would it make a difference if saltwater was used instead?
yes it can
a mag field as strong as 20T will align the all the dipoles in one direction whereas in normal situation, they’re all randomly oriented…
thus some change might be expected
