How powerful are the magnets in old school hard drives?
was going to buy some neo magnets online but heard of this option
was wondering if there’s a common “Pound of pull” stat in certain models or something
… a rough guess could help make my decision on whether to buy them or find used hds

They are very strong, and even modern HDD’s use them. They are called “voice coil” hdd’s.
I have hundereds laying around.
I use 5 on a plate for a grappling hook.
and i have 20 holding down my vice.
Note: toy will need a t4, t6 and t8 screwdriver for most hdd’s
